Its my favorite day of the week!

 This has been a great week and its about to be a even better weekend. One of my best friends is getting married and I'm a bridesmaid. Woot woot!

Top 5 from the week/last weekend:


1) Getting caught in the biggest storm/rain fest EVER! Kayla and I were in Wal-Mart getting last minute things for Keely's party when it came a monsoon. Not even kidding. We decided to take off our shoes and just go for it. We were SOAKED! We got into the car and laughed for a good 5 minutes about it. Good times.

2) Keely's bachelorette party. We had a lot of fun and laughs! The other pictures aren't internet approved :]

 3) THE COLOR RUN! I will post more pictures later but I ran/walked my first 5k on Sunday. I had so much fun. Sue and I decided at 12:30 am that we would participate and signed up that morning. Procrastinators.

4) I went swimming and laid out yesterday with my SueB. Always good times. I also got to see her parents new puppies. I want a puppy! :/

 5) Last night was girls night! YouTube videos, midnight milkshake runs, good music, and movies. Love them!

FRIDAY!

It is finally Friday. Its been a long week. This week Ive been tried spiritually, mentally, and physically. I was so tired from working that my legs were swollen and my eyes were as well from lack of sleep. Crazy. I love my job and my patients but its a very "mental" job if you will. You try to not let your emotions get the best of you or guide your day but sometimes it just happens.

I started the "ESV study bible" plan on my phone. Im liking it so far and Im trying to keep up with the reading. I am also doing a Joyce Meyer plan on the app as well. Love her!

Top 5 from this week:


1) I got my beautiful, pretty iPhone! I LOVE it!!



2) I got my hurrr did last night. I got dark underneath and blonde on top. It was time for a change.

3) On my day off, I did some crafts. I had the flower pots spray painted black then did blue polka dots on the bigger one and white polka dots on the smaller pot. 

4) I also made a wreath for my front door. I made the flowers out of felt and they have a little "diamond" in the middle. 

5) Tonight some of my friends and I are doing some last minute planning for a bachelorette party for one of my best friends! The party is tomorrow and the wedding is next weekend. I can't wait!

Great week: High Five for Friday

Its Friday again. July is seriously flying by...its almost August. NOOO!

I'm pretty proud of myself that Ive been so productive this week and even this morning. I woke up early, cooked Barb (my Baskin Robbins buddy!) some breakfast, cleaned the apartment, folded some laundry, made a hair appointment, and I still have 100 errands to run today. Days off= busy bee.

Top 5 from the week...easy peasy.


1) I went to Sonic happy hour one day this week. It makes me one happy girl. The pineapple tropical breeze is divine! I also had some gooooood popcorn. Good day that was.

2) Pinterest lurveee.

My feelings exactly. 

3) My precious frans came over last night and we attempted to watch this terrible movie Danny picked from red box, ate pizza, made cookies, and most important...storm watched!

4) Barbara came and stayed the night with me and also met the loony tunes seen above. We also got caught up on Teen Mom! That's a must. Love you Barbie Bell!

5) COOKIE TIME! My favorite.

Top 5: Week in review

My week has been fantastic! A few days off in a row, not working the weekend, and time spent with family and friends makes for a good week to me. Praise the Lord for weeks like these.

Top 5:

1) Being off means I get to make breakfast. Its the small things.

French toast sticks and bananas.

2) Relaxing days off. Score.

3) I finished season 2 of Pretty Little Liars! Things are getting crazy folks!

4) A not so good part of my week was dropping my phone in a bowl of Fruity Pebbles. I ran as fast I could to the kitchen to wipe off the soggy cereal and try to revive my phone. It didn't work at all the first part of the day and then it suddenly started working. All the keys are sticking but whatever. I get to renew next month...new phone? Hellloooo iPhone :)

5) My sweet friend Sue is coming over for dinner tonight. We are going to eat some good food and then watch Pretty Little Liars...Imagine that!

Apartment Life {Part 1}- Weekends, Weddings, and a Kitchen Tour

Howdy folks!

I hope you are all having a great weekend! I'm off from work so mine is going great! I wish I was getting better at being more consistent with blogging but once I'm home from work, I'm exhausted!

Today I have a little kitchen tour for you. I'm truly loving my apartment. I received my first few bills this week...those aren't so fun. On the topic of money, taxes ruin everything! My check is beautiful until I see it after taxes...so. dang. much. (Rant over)


As far as life goes, nothing is really new with me. I work, eat, sleep, repeat. I try to keep up with my friends and Ive had a few little get- together's at my place. So much fun! I love having good friends to keep me company.

I'm  off tomorrow so I will get to go to church! I'm so excited! I feel like I haven't been in ages since I was gone on fathers day, the next week I worked, and the week after that I was in the infant nursery. So actually being "upstairs" gets me pretty pumped.

My sweet friend Sue got married last weekend and it was the most precious wedding. Yes, precious explains it.  Here are a few pics!

Now, a small little kitchen tour. It only took me months to decide on colors. Just ask my friends that I harassed for those months on their opinion. I finally decided on turquoise and red. Lurvve.

One of my best most talented friends painted me this. If you understand it, you're welcome. Kayla is so friggin' talented its sickening! She is painting me some more canvas's for my living room!

My kitchen is so roomy and just perfect to me. I have tons of storage space and also a pantry! The pantry is probably one of the best parts of the kitchen! Hope you like my sweet little kitchen as much as I do.


L had her first sleepover ever with me the other night. We played, went to target, ate some yummy food, and watched enough Dora for a lifetime. (Backpack backpack!) She was SO good and so sweet. We played on the computer camera for a bit.

What I've been up to...

I have seriously missed blogging lately. Ive been SOO busy that when I do get home I don't feel like doing anything. I have so much I want to blog about because I don't want to forget any of these things going on in my life right  now. So lets catch up... (and sorry for the picture vomit.)

• For Fathers Day my sister and I went to the lake with my dad. The sun would come out and then hide behind some clouds. The water was pretty cool but after a bit you got used to it. We went tubing and it's always fun until you know that you're about to get thrown off and do flips on top of the water...then I start regretting my decision. Anyone else feel that way?

• I moved into my apartment. I love it. Its so cute and I'm starting to feel more comfortable being here. Im still unpacking boxes in the spare bedroom and getting everything settled. Pictures to come soon :] 

• Work has been keeping me extra busy! By the end of this week, I will have worked 5 days out of 7. Once I'm off orientation and making my own schedule, full time is 3 days. Im ready for that. I go in at 6:30 am and get off around 7:30 pm. It makes for a long, tiring day. I am loving my job as a nurse so far!

• My sweet friend Lydia is going on the World Race. Its a 11 month long mission trip and every month they are in a different country. This is her blog that she will be keeping up with while she is gone.  Im SOOO extremely proud of her and I can't wait to hear all her stories (and screams) when she gets back. I know she will be a blessing to everyone she encounters and vice versa. She leaves in a few days and it makes me sad but I know its not good bye. Its just a "see ya later." She came over last night and we ate tacos, made some yummy cookies, and watched a movie. Im going to miss this girl!!

•  The Direct TV guy is here right now setting me up some tv and DVR. Hallelujah! I like the quietness but its beginning to get a little too quiet. He also could've came between 12 and 4 but he called at 11:50 and was on his way! Im so glad I don't have to sit cooped up in my apartment all day now!

• I went back home today to renew my registration on my car and pay a pretty penny for that. Geez. While I was in town, I went and seen my doggy. I miss him so much! He kept taking me to my "room" and waiting for me to sit down, stay there, or something. He was so sweet. I think I might go back on Saturday and spend some more time with him. 

Thats all I have for now. Work, pay bills, and work some more. :] I will do a post soon of my apartment decor. Pretty cute if you ask me.
